Nepalese national held for making hoax call in Goa

A Nepalese national was on Thursday arrested by the Goa Police for allegedly making a hoax call about terrorists having "entered the state".

Panaji: A Nepalese national was on Thursday arrested by the Goa Police for allegedly making a hoax call about terrorists having "entered the state".

"We received a call in our control room which claimed that seven terrorists have entered the state and they are planning an attack. We immediately swung into action and traced the caller. We found that he made a hoax call," a senior police officer told PTI.

The caller, identified as Nim Bahadur from Nepal and currently staying in Goa, was picked up from the Panaji-Margao highway, 10 kms away from the capital city.

The youth is being interrogated, police added.
