New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday extended his greetings to the people of Gujarat and Maharashtra on Gujarat Day and Maharashtra Day respectively.
"My dear Sisters and Brothers of Maharashtra, My greetings to you on the occasion of Maharashtra Day! Maharashtra is a land that has contributed immensely to the development of the nation. It is a land of thinkers, saints and it is the land of the brave and the courageous," said Prime Minister Modi.
"The hardworking nature of the people of Maharashtra has always been well-known. My best wishes for the development journey of Maharashtra," he added in his message to the people of Maharashtra.
Prime Minister Modi in his message to the people of Gujarat said he hopes that the state would scale newer heights of progress in the years to come.
"Gujarat Diwas greetings to everyone. I pray that Gujarat, a land that is extremely dear to us, scales newer heights of progress in the years to come," said Prime Minister Modi.
"There is something unique about the soil of Gujarat! The warm nature and the enthusiastic spirit of the people has benefitted the state immensely. Once again, my best wishes on Gujarat Day," he added in his message.
