Haryana CM Khattar meets Smriti Irani, seeks Centre support for education

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday met Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani and said the Centre has assured him help regarding improvement of education in the state.

New Delhi: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday met Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani and said the Centre has assured him help regarding improvement of education in the state.

Khattar said this while talking to reporters after his meeting with the Union Human Resource and Development Minister Irani in the national capital today.

During the meeting Khattar discussed with Irani various issues related to education sector in the state and stressed on the need for improving the level of Model Schools and the need for more Central Schools in Haryana.

The Union Government would cooperate to its best to meet all the challenges of Haryana related to education, Khattar said.

On the request of the chief minister, Irani has agreed to visit Haryana in near future and deliberate upon measures required for improvement of education in the state, a statement said.

The Union Minister also discussed regarding contribution of Haryana Government towards National Education Policy.

Khattar said the state government is making concerted efforts towards providing quality education along with its extensive expansion.
