7th accused held in clash over land allotment in Haryana

 Police has arrested the seventh accused in the clash between two groups at Dharaundi village here over allotment of plots for BPL families which left a youth dead.

Jind: Police has arrested the seventh accused in the clash between two groups at Dharaundi village here over allotment of plots for BPL families which left a youth dead.

The accused, Dayanand, a resident of Dharaundi village was arrested yesterday form Narwana bus stand, a police spokesperson said, adding he was remanded to two day's police custody by a local court.

A youth was killed and several others were injured in a clash between between two groups on July 18 over allotment of plot for BPL families at Dharaundi village in this district.

Many families of a particular community had fled the village after the clash on Saturday.

Police had booked eight persons in this case out of which six accused including the Sarpanch of Dharaundi village was already arrested.
