New Delhi: Another AAP MLA is facing fake degree allegations.
BJP's Karan Singh Tanwar, former MLA from Delhi Cantonment, had reportedly alleged that after retiring from the Army, Surender Singh tried for the job of a teacher in a government school in Jhajjar by submitting a fake graduation degree.
No record of degree
He based his allegation on an RTI reply received from the Sikkim University which said it did not have any record of a student named Surender Singh.
However, AAP MLA from Delhi Cantonment Surender Singh has rubbished the allegations of fake degree levelled by Tanwar.
"This degree has been scrutinized twice in Jhajjar. Delhi Police has scrutinized this degree. There is nothing wrong with the degree. BJPs Karan Singh Tanwar is sending RTI to some other university. Ever since his name featured in MM Khan`s murder case, he has been doing these things to improve his image," Singh told ANI.
2nd AAP MLA in fake degree row
Commando Surender Singh is the second AAP MLA after former law minister Jitender Singh Tomar, who is facing allegations over educational qualification and had to step downSingh was also embroiled in a controversy involving making casteist remarks against an NDMC sanitary inspector.
Singh, popularly called `Commando` by AAP members, was arrested along with his associates in the case soon after.
