Bengaluru: Induvalu Suresh, a 35-year-old businessman from Ramanagaram, near Bengaluru has cut his left hand's little finger and 'donated' in at Tirupati Temple as an offering as a gratitude for bail to Congress President Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul in National Herald case.

Suresh, now hailed as 'Eklavya'  by people known to him, on December 25 last year went to the temple and put his finger after wrapping it inside a Rs 1000 note into the temple donation box, said a report in the Times of India.

"The entire (Congress) party was worried. So I took a vow that I will donate my finger if Gandhis were granted bail in the case," said Suresh.

As this news spread, Suresh was summoned by Karnataka Housing minister MH Ambareesh for a meeting at his residence at JP Nagar.
