Cambodia interested in training its officials at CBI centre
A high-level delegation from Cambodia on Monday expressed interest in training investigating officers from the Southeast Asian country at the CBI training centre to develop capacity.
New Delhi: A high-level delegation from Cambodia on Monday expressed interest in training investigating officers from the Southeast Asian country at the CBI training centre to develop capacity.
The nine-member delegation of the 10th Commission of the Senate, led by acting chairman Mam 10th Commission of the Senate, led by acting chairman Mam Bunneang, shared its interest with Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) director Anil Sinha during an interaction while visiting the agency's headquarters on Monday.
"The Cambodian delegation was apprised of the experience of the CBI in investigating corruption-related issues," a CBI official told IANS.
The team "evinced interest in capacity-building of their own investigating officers and explored the possibilities of sending them for training at the CBI Academy in Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh," said the official.
The two sides also discussed other matters of mutual interest.
The delegation is in India on a six-day visit from April 24 to 29.
