New Delhi: The Union Home Ministry on Wednesday asked the Delhi Police to file a detailed report on the lawyers' protest and alleged attack on JNU Students Union president Kanhaiya Kumar while he was being produced before the Patiala House Court for hearing in connection with a sedition case.

The direction from the Home Ministry came shortly after JNUSU president Kanhaiya Kumar was heckled and assaulted by lawyers while he was entering the court room.
