New Delhi: Reacting to David Hadley's confession in a Mumbai court, Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday said that it's abundantly clear Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) was behind the deadly 26/11 attack and Islamabad now must act against all those involved.
“After David Hadley's revelations, it has become very clear that Pakistan and ISI were behind the 26/11 attacks. (David Headley ke bayan ke baad ye cheez poori tarah se spasht ho chuki hai ki isme ISI ka hath hai, Pakistan ka hath hai,” the home minister told reporters here.
“Pakistan should now quickly act to punish all those involved in the 26/11 carnage. (Itna expose ho jaane ke baad turant Pak ko 26/11 ke culprits ke khilaaf kathor karwai karni chahiye),” Singh said.
Concurring with the home minister, the Ministry of External Affairs said, “Headley's deposition once again confirms this view, if any confirmation was needed after Ajmal Kasab's confession.”
“It is up to Pak to investigate and expose fully the conspiracy in Pak behind the Mumbai terror attack and to bring all concerned to justice,” the MEA said.
Meanwhile, security forces in Jammu and Kashmir were on high alert on Friday after reports of militant sightings in the Valley. Combing operations were on to flush out the militants.
“We had information of two militants, we have cordoned off the area,” Garib Das, DIG North Kashmir, said adding “Movement of militants were reported so our forces are searching the area.”
