The very busy citizens of the 'Big Apple' stood mesmerised when Goddess Kali made an appearance on the façade of the iconic Empire State building.
Goddess Kali was projected on Empire State building as part of an artwork exhibition called Projecting Change by filmmaker Louie Psihoyos with the help of San Francisco based Obscura Digital . It started out as a mission to create awareness on conservation of endangered animals – Cecil the Lion was featured recently.
But How does Kali fit in the theme?
As per Android Jones, the mind behind the portrait, Kali was chosen as she represents the destruction of evil. He feels Goddess Kali can be the perfect symbol in the fight against dangers of pollution and extinction.
