New Delhi: Talking about Prime Minister's Narendra Modi's first visit to China after assuming office, Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar on Tuesday said that all issues pertaining to bilateral relations
between the two nations will be discussed during the meeting.
Giving a little insight into PM Modi's itinerary, Jaishankar told media that his visit will begin with his arrival in Xi'an, which is the home town of President Xi Jinping.
“PM Modi would be having his summit meeting with President Xi Jinping. He will then travel from Xi'an to Beijing on May 14 late in the evening and on May 15 he will be formally welcomed by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang,” he was quoted as saying by ANI.
When asked about progress expected on land-border issues, Jaishankar said that all issues pertaining to bilateral issues will be discussed, so this will also be covered.
“Exactly what would be the progress or outcome, I will not be in a position to predict,” he said.
On the issue of China building infrastructure in PoK, Jaishankar said that the matter has been taken up with China government through diplomatic channels.
