Rahul Gandhi condemns deadly Gurdaspur terror attack

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Monday condemned the terror attack in Gurdaspur, saying his prayers were with the families of those of who lost their lives in the attack.

New Delhi: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Monday condemned the terror attack in Gurdaspur, saying his prayers were with the families of those of who lost their lives in the attack.

"Strongly condemn the terror attack in Gurdaspur.I hope the situation is brought under control at the earliest," Rahul said on twitter.

"My prayers are with the families of those of who lost their lives in the attack," he added.

The attack, which took place after the terrorists attacked the Dinanagar Police station in Punjab's border district of Gurdaspur, has claimed the lives of nine people, including six civilians.

One of the terrorists has been neutralized by security forces in the attack.

IG Border Zone, Ishwar Chander, said there is no hostage situation till now while Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar stated that Special Forces have been deployed in Gurdaspur and the counter insurgency forces are already there.
