Air Force to present acrobatic show on Republic Day in Jammu

The Air Force will conduct an acrobatic unmanned aerial vehicle show in Jammu and Kashmir during this year's Republic Day celebration.

Jammu: The Air Force will conduct an acrobatic unmanned aerial vehicle show in Jammu and Kashmir during this year's Republic Day celebration.

"For the first time, the Air Force would be conducting acrobatic unmanned aerial vehicle show during this year's Republic Day celebration in Jammu which will be one of the main attractions of the programme," an official spokesman said.

He said the full dress rehearsal was held at Maulana Azad Stadium, which was witnessed by Director General of Police K Rajendra, GOC Tiger Division Major General Sanjeev Naraian, Divisional Commissioner Dr Pawan Kotwal, Deputy Commissioner of Jammu Simrandeep Singh, among others.

Contingents from Jammu Kashmir Armed Police, Jammu Kashmir Police, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indian Reserve Police (IRP), Fire & Emergency Services, Ex- Servicemen, J&K Forest Protection Force NCC cadets, government and private schools and others participated in the march past.

"Thousands of school children presented scintillating and colourful cultural programmes including traditional folk songs," the spokesman said.
