J&K polls: BJP has forged alliance with separatists in Kashmir, says JKNPP

The Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) on Sunday accused the BJP of "forging an alliance with the separatists in Kashmir" to accomplish its 'Mission 44+' in the ongoing assembly elections.

Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) on Sunday accused the BJP of "forging an alliance with the separatists in Kashmir" to accomplish its 'Mission 44+' in the ongoing assembly elections.

"BJP has become a new avatar of the Hurriyat Conference and raising divisive and anti-national slogans, besides promoting the separatist and fundamentalist organisations in the state," JKNPP president Balwant Singh Mankotia said addressing an election rally in Udhampur.

Mankotia, who represents Udhampur in the Assembly, said BJP has in its 'Vision Document' deserted its "sacred agenda of (abrogation of) Article 370 and discrimination against the Jammu region to appease the separatists and other anti-India groups of Kashmir. This has exposed BJP completely."

He said BJP has been "fully exposed for its covert tie up with separatists and National Conference and its anti-Jammu policies."

Mankotia said, "the BJP leadership in Jammu and Kashmir is talking the same as what the Kashmir separatists preached and professed..."

The JKNPP leader said BJP's open alliance with Peoples Conference leader Sajad Lone has exposed its bankruptcy for the sake of power.
