Jammu: The prevailing security situation in
the Kashmir Valley has strengthened the nexus of corruption
between ministers and bureaucrats in Jammu and Kashmir, Senior
Congress leader Abdul Gani Vakil said Saturday.
"Some corrupt ministers, bureaucrats and other high
profile people have found this situation apt for looting the
state exchequer by adopting wrongful means, thereby increasing
chances of complete paralysis of administrative machinery
across the state," Vakil, who is also a MLC, said in a
statement.
Such acts are likely to cause irreparable damage to the
otherwise clean image of the ruling National Conference (NC) -
Congress coalition government in J&K, he said.
"The Chief Minister should take action against such
ministers and officials as people have lot of expectations
from the government," Vakil said.
