Jammu: Ruling NC members today joined
hands with opposition PDP in the Jammu and Kashmir assembly
to protest over inter-district recruitments.

During the discussion on the grants of rural
development, law and parliamentary affairs ministeries, ruling
NC members Saifullah Mir, Kafullal Rehman and Choudhary
Mohmmad Ramzan joined PDP members and sat on dharna in Well of
the House and raised the issue of inter-district recruitments.
Later, Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) and
Jammu State Morcha (JSM) members too stood up from the benches
and resorted to sloganeering along with those sitting on
dharna.

"We want justice. This is discriminatory. It will
breed more militancy," the protesters said.

BJP members, who were not present in the House at that
time, had earlier staged a walkout on the issue and Speaker
had marshalled out two MLAs Rasheed Ahmed (Independent) and
Abdul Haq Khan (PDP) from the House on March 17.
