Vaishno Devi pilgrim dies after heart attack

Jammu: A Vaishno Devi bound pilgrim died after apparently suffering a heart attack in Katra town of Jammu and Kashmir today.

Mohan Prasad Upadhyay, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, fell unconscious near Adh Kuwari and was shifted to a nearby dispensary where doctors declared him brought dead, SSP Reasi, Sujit Kumar, said.

The apprarent cause of the death seems to be a heart attack, he said.

The body has been shifted to Community Health Centre in Katra for legal and medical formalities, he said, adding that a case has been registered.
