Raghubar Das to act tough against officials involved in illegal mining

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Tuesday directed the officials to initiate action against any government employee found guilty of their involvement in illegal mining.

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Tuesday directed the officials to initiate action against any government employee found guilty of their involvement in illegal mining.

Issuing the direction at a review meeting of law and order, Das called for immediate prevention of illegal mining and suspension and dismissal of any official or employee found guilty of the offence.

An official release quoting the chief minister asked the police and other senior government officials not to allow any intervention while taking action against the guilty.

Giving stress to provide a clean, impartial and transparent administration through teamwork, Das asked the officials to discharge their duties fearless and honestly as the responsibility of the state's development was on them and solicited their suggestions to find solution to problems.

Jharkhand police chief Rajeev Kumar was among the officials present in the meeting.
