Two allies to contest Mandu seat in Jharkhand

The November 30 bypoll to Mandu assembly seat in Jharkhand will witness a fight between two allies of the BJP-led Arjun Munda Government.

Ranchi: The November-30 bypoll to Mandu
assembly seat in Jharkhand will witness a fight between two
allies of the BJP-led Arjun Munda Government with the saffron
party on Saturday deciding not to contest.
"The party has decided to leave the seat to its allies,"
BJP’s Jharkhand unit spokesman Prem Mittal said.

"This much for now, the rest later," Mittal said when
asked which alliance partner would the BJP choose to support -
JMM or JD(U).

While JMM has fielded Jaiprakash Bhai Patel, JD(U)
nominated its state unit president and former MLA Khiru Mahto
for the seat.

Another alliance partner AJSU has extended support to
the JMM.
JD(U) spokesman Pramod Mishra said "whatever level the
request might come from, we are not not withdrawing our
candidate from the field."

All the four allies formed the government on September
11, 2010 under the leadership of Munda.
