 Kerala Police have launched a probe into the vanishing act by a group of nine persons, who had gone to Jordan on a pilgrimage tour from here on May 27 and have not returned.

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Police have launched a probe into the vanishing act by a group of nine persons, who had gone to Jordan on a pilgrimage tour from here on May 27 and have not returned.

A probe has been launched into the suspected illegal migration, police sources said.

A case has also been registered against the nine missing persons and a Priest Father Stansilius Theemus, who led the holy tour, police said.

Theemus, though has returned to the country, was not yet traced.

A case was registered following a complaint filed by the Foreigners Regional Registration Office here on Monday.

The group, including women, had flown to Jordan on May 27 on a visiting visa and were scheduled to return on June 6. Father Theemus has returned on May 31.
