Kozhikode: PK Sreemanavedan Raja, "Zamorin" (a hereditary royal title) of Kozhikode died at a private hospital early today due to old age related probelms, family sources said.
Raja (101) is survived by two daughters. Zamorins were the rulers of the erstwhile Malabar region of Kerala.
Union Minister of State for Home Mullappally Ramachandran condoled the death of Raja.
In his condolence message, Ramachandran said Raja was a towering personality and his contributions for the well-being of the people will be rememberd.
