Indore: The Lokayukta police Monday raided two establishments owned by a police head constable posted at Jabalpur district's Regional Transport Office (RTO) and unearthed huge disproportionate assets (DA) allegedly amassed by him.
Police teams of the anti-corruption ombudsman raided two properties of head constable Arun Kumar Singh Baghel, one at Annapurna Nagar here and the other in Rewa district, Deputy
Superintendent of Police (DSP) Dulat Singh said.
The DSP claimed that allegedly incriminating documents were seized from the places, according to which Baghel owns five pieces of land, two swanky houses and a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV).
We are going to open his two bank lockers, one in Indore and the other in Rewa, he said.
The police official said that they are calculating the constable's wealth, disproportionate to his known sources of income, and added that the investigation was initiated following a complaint of corruption against the cop.
