Raisen(MP): A pregnant woman and her
six-year-old daughter were found brutally murdered at the
Government Agriculture Farm in Begumganj town about 80 km from
the district headquarters, police said on Sunday.
The decapitated bodies of the two victims -- Gomtibai
Gaud (25) and her daughter Sapna (6) were found at their
residence by Gomtibai`s husband Ram Singh last night.
Though police items like a plate carrying vermilion,
sweets, incense sticks and a small pitcher from the murder
scene, they have ruled out human sacrifice as the reason
behind the murders.
Further investigations are on, police said.
Meanwhile, Congress President Kantilal Bhuria condemned
the killings and alleged that incidents of murder and rape
remained unchecked in the state.
