Solapur: Union Power Minister
Sushilkumar Shinde on Sunday said he thought that he might lose
the cabinet berth during the recent cabinet reshuffle.
Shinde revealed this during a public rally at Chincholi
He said that he had come back to his hometown Solapur
during the cabinet reshuffle in July, as he thought that he
might be dropped from the cabinet this time.
"However, when I came to know that my post and portfolio
were retained, I flew back to Delhi in no time," Shinde said
adding, "I took a deep sigh of relief as the party high
command had taken notice of my good work that I had carried
out as a Power Minister."
The Union Minister also added that the faith and trust
shown in him by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh would help him
complete the pending power projects in future.
