Jamshedpur, Sept 09: Jharkhand unit of Samajwadi Party
today came down heavily on Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra
Modi for bringing out the 'gaurav yatra' in the state at a
time when those affected by recent violence were not yet able
"to overcome the trauma".

The yatra commenced from Phagvel yesterday in the
presence of Modi besides other BJP leaders including Gujarat
unit chief Rajendrasinh Rana, former Chief Minister Keshubhai
Patel and party general secretray Rajnath Singh.

Modi must be having some other motive behind the move,
possibly to get some political mileage, SP state unit
president Banna Gupta said here.

Gupta felt it was not the right time for taking out such
a yatra when the "hundreds of families affected by recent
communal violence are yet to overcome the trauma."
