Chenpur (Jharkhand): Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Maken on Sunday said the alleged multi-crore illegal investments and disproportionate assets case involving former Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda will be brought to its logical end.
Maken, who is on a day`s visit to the state for campaigning ahead of the fourth phase of state Assembly polls on December 12 said Koda became the mining minister in BJP`s regime and started looting the state.
"Every effort will be taken by the government to bring back every penny taken out of the state by Koda and his associates. No effort will be spared to get to the bottom of the case," Maken said while campaigning for Congress candidate Joy S Baxla from Gumla Assembly constituency.
Attacking the BJP, he said the party has not done anything for the state since its inception other than just wanting to form a government.
"Our party is led by a leader (Sonia Gandhi) who inspite of being given a chance to become the Prime Minister wanted to just work for the party and the country. Look at BJP—from Rajnath Singh to Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley everybody is fighting amongst each other to be the number one," he said.
Maken said Koda "is the son of the RSS and the BJP."
Speaking on the issue of naxalism, he said the main reasons for left wing extremism is corruption because where there is corruption, development cannot happen.
He said the moment has come to elect a Congress government in the state.
Maken said the Central Government is led by Manmohan Singh-- who is one of the most honest leader in the world.
The leader lamented that the people who dreamt for a better future with the creation of this state have not been able to live the dream.
"Give us a chance and we will make your dreams come to reality," he said.
