New Delhi, Dec 03: With fresh "revelations" in the
Iraqi oil deals, the opposition NDA is gearing up to corner
the government in Parliament next week with the alliance
issuing a whip to all its MPs to be present and planning to
stall proceedings till Natwar Singh resigns from the Union
Cabinet.

"The BJP has issued a whip to all its MPs in both houses
to remain in Delhi all through the five days. Our allies too
will be issuing similar whips," BJP deputy leader in Lok Sabha
V K Malhotra said here today.

While declining to comment on whether NDA would allow
smooth functioning of Parliament, he gave enough indications
that the opposition alliance was unlikely to do so saying, "we
will be adopting an aggressive posture in both houses. We will
insist on Natwar Singh's resignation from the Union Cabinet
and Sonia Gandhi's resignation as chairperson of the National
Advisory Council."

NDA leaders are also meeting on Monday morning to chalk
out their strategy in Parliament, including the course to be
taken in the event of Singh being asked to step down.

The opposition is also expected to press for a discussion
on foreign funding of political parties in the light of the
Mitrokhin archives and the book on CIA funding written by
former US ambassador to India Daniel P Moynihan.

The NDA has already moved notices for discussion on the
subject under rules 184 and 193 in the Lok Sabha.
