New Delhi, July 03: Former health minister C P Thakur today said no reason has so far been given by the BJP leadership for his removal from the post.
Talking to reporters after meeting Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani here, Thakur said "I have given my views to him" but made it clear he received no assurance from Advani.
Thakur, who was initially reluctant to speak, said "no reason has been given for my removal from the cabinet".
At the same time, he said that he was a "disciplined" member of the BJP and would abide by any decision of the party leadership.
Asked if an actor (Shatrughan Sinha) could effectively replace a doctor (Thakur) in the health ministry, he said that "anybody can work in any ministry".
Thakur also condemned the ransacking of the BJP office in Patna following his sacking saying "such incidents should not take place".
