Presidential polls on July 15

New Delhi, June 07: Presidential elections will be held on July 15. The counting of votes will begin on July 18, Chief Election Commissioner J M Lyngdoh announced today.

A notification for holding the polls will be issued on
June 11, he said.

Announcing the poll schedule, Lyngdoh told reporters here that the last date for filing of nominations for the top post is June 25.

The scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on June 26, he said, adding the last date for withdrawal of candidature is June 28.
