Spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, on a visit to Sri Lanka, has asked the people of this conflict-hit country to live without fear and join hands to promote peace.

Colombo: Spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar,
on a visit to Sri Lanka, has asked the people of this
conflict-hit country to live without fear and join hands to
promote peace.

"Peace and prosperity go together... peace comes when you
have trust and confidence. No one can take away your
self-respect and dignity," he told a gathering here yesterday.

He said his fifth visit to the country was aimed at
uniting "hearts and minds of the people in a post conflict
scenario".

Around three lakh Tamil civilians, displaced in the war
between Sri Lankan armed forces and the LTTE, are still living
as refugees in this country.

Sri Sri also inaugurated and delivered the keynote
address at the international conference on promotion of mental
well-being organised by the World Health Organisation.
