Tharoor, Sunanda offer prayers at temple

Mumbai: Former Union minister Shashi
Tharoor and his friend Sunanda Pushkar Sunday offered prayers
at the famous Shani Shingnapur temple in Maharashtra`s
Ahmednagar district.

Tharoor and Pushkar arrived at the temple in the
afternoon and performed `abhishek` (offering).

Asked about the visit, Tharoor told mediapersons he
had performed the ritual for "family peace".

Pushkar was seated to the right of Tharoor while
performing the pooja.
