Cyclone Hudhud: ECoR keeps PRS counter open till 2200 hrs for refund

In view of cancellation and diversion of trains due to cyclone, East Coast Railway made special arrangement for opening of Passenger Reservation System (PRS) Counters till 2200 hrs instead of 1400 hrs on Sunday at important stations in order to help the passengers in getting refund.

Bhubaneswar: In view of cancellation and diversion of trains due to cyclone, East Coast Railway made special arrangement for opening of Passenger Reservation System (PRS) Counters till 2200 hrs instead of 1400 hrs on Sunday at important stations in order to help the passengers in getting refund.

Additional Enquiry Counters have also been opened at Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Berhamapur, and Puri railway stations for the benefit of the passengers, ECoR said in a release.

Meanwhile, in addition to several trains already cancelled and diverted, Railways also cancelled 18402 Okha-Puri Express scheduled to leave Okha on October 15 due to unavailability of rake for cancellation of 18401 Puri-Okha Express from Puri today, it said.

Similarly, 22612 New Jalpaiguri-Chennai Express that left New Jalpaiguri on October 10 and 22614 Haldia-Chennai Express from Haldia yesterday are diverted via Khurda Road-Barang-Angul-Titilagarh-Lakholi-Nagpur and Ballarshah, it said.
