In its bid to encourage youths to join mainstream, Orissa government has planned a mega job fair in left-wing extremism (LEW) affected districts.

Bhubaneswar: In its bid to encourage
youths to join mainstream, Orissa government has planned a
mega job fair in left-wing extremism (LEW) affected districts.

"A Mega Job Fair has been planned in left-wing
extremism affected districts like Malkangiri, Koraput and
Nabrangpur on March 12 and 13," said director of state
employment mission A K Padhee.
This was part of the employment mission`s drive to
accommodate more youths from Orissa in para-military forces,
sources said adding 2451 vacancies now existed in central
para-military forces (CPMF) for the state youths. The number
could increase in subsequent years, they said.

"District collectors have been advised to arrange
Pre-Appointment Training camps to enhance chances for state
youths in recruitment in para-military force," sources said.

The State Employment Mission has meanwhile launched an
initiation for creating job opportunities for poor and less
educated unemployed youths in Para Military Forces, security
guard jobs, nursing, IT skills, handholding technical
jobs, tourism, hospitality, handicrafts, textiles, gems and
jewellery, mines, computers, eco-tourism, mason and others.
In a recent meeting chief secretary B.K.Patnaik held
discussion with Central Staff Selection Commission chairman
N.K. Raghupati in this regard.

The application forms and other related information
for the aspiring youths could be available in different
Employment Exchange offices.
