Batala: A 20-year-old woman was raped by a youth here who also threatened her to upload the video of the crime on Internet, police said on Saturday.
The victim, a resident of Umarwal village, lodged a complaint yesterday under Qilla Lal Singh police station, police said here.
The victim, in her complaint, alleged that she was raped several times during last four months by Heera Singh who lives in the same village on pretext of marrying her, police said.
The accused also videographed the act, police was told.
Singh has been arrested and cases under relevant sections of IPC have been registered against him.
Meanwhile, medical examination of the victim was conducted at the civil hospital today.
She also recorded here statement before a judicial magistrate, police said.
