Rajasthan: Body of BTech student, who drowned in dam, recovered

 The body of 18-year-old BTech student, who had drowned in Jawahar Sagar dam, was recovered on Saturday, police said.

Bundi: The body of 18-year-old BTech student, who had drowned in Jawahar Sagar dam, was recovered on Saturday, police said.

Station House Officer, Dabi Police Station, Madan Lal Khateek said, Abhiraj Singh's body was recovered after 60 hours of operations by RAC, Kota Nagar Nigam and NDRF personnel.

The body was found floating in water around 100 meters away from where he was swept away by sudden surge of water, he stated.

Singh, a resident of Dadabari area of Kota city, was swept away by a strong current of water on Thursday evening at Naav Ghat of Jawahar Sagar dam where he was swimming with three of his friends with whom he had come for a picnic, the SHO said.

Singh's body was handed over to his family members after postmortem, the officer said, adding a case has been registered under relevant sections of IPC.
