Blistering heat wave conditions that swept across Rajasthan on Saturday affected the normal life as temperature hovered above 42 degrees Celsius at many places in the state.

According to MeT office, Kota remained the hottest place with recording a maximum of 44.5 degrees C today.

Churu, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Dabok and Sriganganagar also also registered maximum of 44.2, 44, 43.7, 43.2, 43 and 42.7 degree Celsius respectively, it said.

MeT office, in a forecast, said the heatwave conditions in areas of Kota, Udaipur and Jaipur divisions are likely to continue.
