Fifty injured in village football match in Bangladesh

At least 50 people were injured on Saturday in a clash over a football match between residents of two villages in northern Bangladesh.

in a clash over a football match between residents of two
villages in northern Bangladesh.

In clashes after a six-hour play between the villagers of
Sharishabari subdistrict in Jamalpur District the 50 were
injured, media reports today said.

One of the injured was admitted to the Mymensingh Medical
College Hospital in a critical condition.

Extra security has been deployed to stop renewed
violence, police said adding it was not immediately clear what
actually sparked the clashes.

Football is among the popular games along with cricket in
bangladesh.
