Gunmen kill six in southwest Pakistan

Six persons were killed on Tuesday by unidentified gunmen in two separate incidents in the restive Balochistan province of southwest Pakistan, police said.

restive Balochistan province of southwest Pakistan, police
said.

A group of gunmen riding motorcycles fired at a car in
Killi Qambrani area of provincial capital Quetta, killing
three men, police said.

The gunmen fled after the attack. Police launched a
search but were unable to make any arrests.

The motive for the killing could not immediately be
ascertained.

In a separate incident, gunmen killed three men from
Punjab province and injured two others in Sangani Sar area of
Turbat district.

The gunmen entered a home and opened fire.
Officials said the injured were in a critical
condition.

All of the victims belonged to Bahawalpur district of
eastern Punjab province.

Suspected members of Baloch nationalist groups have
targeted people from Punjab in a string of recent attacks.
