Islamabad: Six persons were killed on Tuesday
by unidentified gunmen in two separate incidents in the
restive Balochistan province of southwest Pakistan, police
said.
A group of gunmen riding motorcycles fired at a car in
Killi Qambrani area of provincial capital Quetta, killing
three men, police said.
The gunmen fled after the attack. Police launched a
search but were unable to make any arrests.
The motive for the killing could not immediately be
ascertained.
In a separate incident, gunmen killed three men from
Punjab province and injured two others in Sangani Sar area of
Turbat district.
The gunmen entered a home and opened fire.
Officials said the injured were in a critical
condition.
All of the victims belonged to Bahawalpur district of
eastern Punjab province.
Suspected members of Baloch nationalist groups have
targeted people from Punjab in a string of recent attacks.
