Three Indian robbers killed in Nepal in retaliatory attack

Three Indian nationals, allegedly involved in a robbery, have been killed in retaliatory attacks by the locals, according to Nepal police.

involved in a robbery, have been killed in retaliatory attacks
by the locals, according to Nepal police.

Two others from the group of 15 armed masked men were
injured in the incident last night in in Jhapa district in
eastern Nepal, Police spokesman Bigyan Raj Sharma said.

However, the identity of the killed are yet to be
ascertained and the injured have been taken to the local
hospital for treatment, he said.

The trio, allegedly members of the gang which robbed the
house of Bhumi Rajbanshi last night, were killed when the
local people attacked them, according to the police.

Locals chased the robbers and three of them were killed
in retaliatory action of the locals about one kilometre west
of the village.

The robbers decamped cash and gold worth Rs 650,000 from
Rajbanshi’s house and investigations are on, they said.

Those killed were from Kishangunuj in Bihar, according to
local journalists. Others of the gang escaped when attacked,
police said.
