Lahore: A senior PML-N leader and Member of Provincial Assembly was today shot dead along with his son and nephew by unknown gunmen in Pakistan's Punjab province.
MPA Rana Shamshad Ahmed was returning from his farmhouse along with his son and nephew on a car when two motorcyclists intercepted it near his house in Kamoki, some 60 kms from here, and opened indiscriminate fire on them, police said.
The injured were taken to nearby hospital where the MPA, his son and nephew succumbed to their injures.
Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah said a team comprising senior police officers had been constituted to investigate the matter.
He said the killers would be brought to justice.
