New Delhi: What if we tell you that now it's possible for you to enjoy the ethereal and extraordinary experience of space travel without leaving our home planet Earth. No, we are not joking. This's happening for real!
NASA in collaboration with IMAX and director Toni Myers made a documentary, 'A Beautiful Earth' to give us a stunning view of our magnificent blue planet.
The documentary is set to release on April 26, this year.
The best part is that the footage of the whole film was shot by NASA astronauts onboard the International Space Station (ISS) and many of them like Kjell Lindgren, Terry Virts, and Barry “Butch” Wilmore, and Scott Kelly participated as filmmakers during their time on station.
For over 15 months astronauts captured some of the really challenging earth scenes from the station's cupola and ISS window. This is the first time any film has used digital technology in space to shoot breathtaking pictures of Earth at IMAX resolution.
Narrated by Jennifer Lawrence, the documentary also explores the tough life of astronauts inside the ISS.
