Trial run begins on Virudhunagar-Dindigul electrified track

Railway Safety Commissioner Satheesh kumar Mittal on Wednesday conducted an inspection of the 105-km track between Virudhunagar and Dindigul which has been electrified.

Virudhunagar (TN): Railway Safety Commissioner Satheesh kumar Mittal on Wednesday conducted an inspection of the 105-km track between Virudhunagar and Dindigul which has been electrified.

The Commissioner inspected the signal cabins and map of the track during the first inpsection run of the electric train.

The first round of inspection had been completed.

He also inaugurated the trial run of the trains at 100 km speed. After the completion of the trial run, passenger trains would be operated, Mittal said.

Chief Project Manager Udhayakumar, Chief Electrification Engineer J SP Singh and Chief Electricity Distribution Engineer PV Chandramohan and Divisional Railway Manager A.K.Rastogi were present during inspection.
