Footwear showroom gutted in fire in UP

Noida: A footwear showroom in sector 18 area was gutted in fire during the wee hours on Friday, fire officials said.

The fire was reported from the showroom around 2 am today, fire official Sushil Yadav said.

It is yet to be ascertained if the incident was caused due to a short circuit, he said, adding that the fire was doused before it could spread to adjacent shops.

While all the goods were gutted in fire the showroom is yet to figure out the exact loss, the fire official said.

Yesterday a fire was reported from a factory in Kasna site-V area of the district.
