In a shocking incident, a minor girl was allegedly burnt alive in Uttar Pradesh's Fatehpur district after her father stopped the intruders from plucking mangoes from his orchard.

Fatehpur: In a shocking incident, a minor girl was allegedly burnt alive in Uttar Pradesh's Fatehpur district after her father stopped the intruders from plucking mangoes from his orchard. 

“The father of the girl has complained that the incident took place on Saturday when the girl was alone in the house,” Anees Ahmed Ansari, SP, Fatehpur was quoted by ANI.

The girl's father Shivbhushan said that to take revenge those people entered his house when Shivbhushan was at the fields and everyone else in the family was away for a wedding, thrashed his daughter and then set her on fire. After the incident, entire village is in a tense environment.

“They thrashed my daughter and set her on fire to take revenge,” he was quoted by ANI.

A case has been registered under IPC Section 302 and 452 and investigation is underway.
