Minor girl gang-raped by six men in Varanasi

A 17-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and gang-raped by six persons here, police said.

Varanasi/Chandauli: A 17-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and gang-raped by six persons here, police said.

The incident took place on September 9 when the girl, a student of class twelfth, was kidnapped by six persons while going to her house under Illia police station area of Chandauli district, police said.

The accused forcibly pulled her in their car and and took her to Allahabad where they held her captive and gang-raped her for almost six days, Superintendent of Police, Muniraj said.

They brought her back to Varanasi and dropped her at Cantt railway station, he said, adding, one of the accused informed the parents of the girl over phone on Monday that they can find their daughter at the railway station.

Girls parents rushed to the railway station and found her there.

An FIR was registered on Monday night against the six persons on the complaint of the girl's father.

However, the girl has refused to go through the medical examination yesterday, Muniraj said.

The girl will be produced before the judicial magistrate for further decision into the case, the SP said, adding, all the six accused are absconding and an investigation into the case is on.
