Kolkata: Sudipta Sen, the chairman of the Saradha Group which allegedly defrauded thousands of small investors, and two others, were on Thursday sent to nine days police custody in a fresh case by a Bidhanangar court here.
Sen along with Saradha director Debjani Mukherjee and Arvind Singh Chouhan, who looked after the group`s operations in Jharkhand, were produced before the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bidhanagar, A H M Rahman after the expiry of 14 days police custody. The judicial magistrate sent them to police custody for nine days in another case. Sen, Mukherjee and Chouhan, were arrested from Sonamarg in Kashmir valley on April 24 while they were on the run.
