Mamata should leave her chair: Siddharth Nath Singh

Mocking West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's recent outburst against BJP leadership, party National Secretary Siddharth Nath Singh on Sunday said Banerjee should leave her chair or "else her health might deteriorate" witnessing the saffron party's rise in Bengal.

Kolkata: Mocking West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's recent outburst against BJP leadership, party National Secretary Siddharth Nath Singh on Sunday said Banerjee should leave her chair or "else her health might deteriorate" witnessing the saffron party's rise in Bengal.

Singh asserted the BJP will not allow Bengal to turn into a land of Jehadis.

"Why don't you leave your chair didi, you are losing your cool. It will shoot up your blood preasure. You will use abusive language as you have done few days back. But let me tell you we will not allow Bengal turn into a land of Jehadis," Singh said.

Singh also referred to Banerjee's statement last year where after the Saradha scam, "Is Kunal (suspended TMC MP and Saradha scam accused Kunal Ghosh) a thief, is Tumpai (recently arrested TMC Rajya Sabha MP Srinjoy Bose) thief?"

"She had wondered whether Kunal is a thief and now he is in jail. She had said whether Tumpai is a thief now he is in jail," the BJP leader said.

BJP state president Rahul Sinha thanked party national president Amit Shah for attending today's rally even after having a dental operation just yesterday.

"Yesterday Amitji told me that he had undergone dental operation. I told him how will he then attend the rally. To my surprise he told me whether its a tooth operation or any other surgery it doesn't matter. Even if he had to come on a stretcher he would arrive at the rally," Rahul Sinha said.

"If we have party Presidents like him we can win in Bengal," Rahul Sinha added.
