Gourmet promises in Dubai Food Fest

Dubai, Jan 26: February promises to send Dubai inhabitants into a frenzy of gourmet delights as the Dubai Food Festival, the feast of exotic tastes and smells, plays out there this year. The Dubai Food Festival begins on February 1, and it will see a host of culinary activities and cuisines from around the world through the participation of over 20 well-known restaurants from across Dubai. “Dubai Food Festival is a celebration of not just cuisines but of the different resident cultures in Dubai. Food is an element that brings people from various backgrounds together and this is very much in line with the ‘One World. One Family. One Festival.’ slogan of DSF,” Yousif Mubarak, Chief Operations Officer of DSF Office said. The organisers intend to create a market place like ambience by getting more stalls to join in. Fresh and local produce will be on offer, with everything from top quality ice cream to fruits and coffee; in addition to food markets, cookery workshops, and tasting sessions. Participating restaurants will present a wide variety of cuisines including Sri Lankan, Filipino, Chinese, Mexican, Indian, Japanese, British, Egyptian, Lebanese, South Asian, French, and Emarati cuisine.
