A car bomb killed at least 16 people and wounded 30 Wednesday in a mostly Shiite Muslim neighbourhood of the Iraqi capital, a police colonel said.

Baghdad: A car bomb killed at least 16 people and wounded 30 Wednesday in a mostly Shiite Muslim neighbourhood of the Iraqi capital, a police colonel said.

The attack, the third to hit the capital and environs in less than a week, struck a busy commercial street in the western district of Bayaa.
