London: It seems like popstar Lily Allen plans to bring up her first born in the English countryside as the pregnant singer has just splashed out USD 5 million on a country mansion.

The `Smile` hitmaker, who is expecting a baby boy with boyfriend Sam Cooper, has bought a new six-bedroom house in Costwolds, reported Daily Mail online. It is believed that the outspoken singer has chosen the 17th century Old Overtown House because it is just five miles away from her father Keith Allen`s residence. "Yes, she is the buyer of Old Overtown House, that`s absolutely correct. It`s all gone through and she is now the proud new owner," a spokeswoman for estate agent Savills confirmed. The residence boasts six bedrooms, five bathrooms and three reception rooms in the main house, along with a three-bedroom cottage in the grounds. PTI
